2. May 2000, Chantilly to Aix-les-Bains

We did not really break down but a red lamp on our dashboard informed us that our light machine was providing not enough voltage. Driving on to the next time check, we found a "Ford" garage located next. The repairman took out our light machine, cleaned it and put it back again. This took us about 70 minutes, but we were lucky that we had arrived early at that time check and that the time check after was the "lunch-break" time section, so we managed to catch up the time through fast driving (zero penalty). The light machine worked fine after the cleaning but we will have to keep an eye on it in future.
